Held every two years in a different Australian destination, the Dreamtime program consists of business to business sessions between Australian industry, (sellers) and international incentive agents, (buyers).
Presented in partnership with the Brisbane Convention Bureau, Dreamtime 2017 will take place from 3 to 9 December in Brisbane, Queensland.
Key events in the program include:
Dreamtime Business Session: a full-day, face-to-face business session of pre-scheduled appointments, providing sellers with the opportunity to meet and do business with international buyers. A networking lunch with buyers is included in the Business Session.
Dreamtime Welcome Function, Dreamtime Dinner: These networking events provide sellers with the opportunity to develop relationships and have further discussions with international buyers and media.
Brisbane Breakfast and Brisbane Showcase: Both events are designed to showcase Brisbane’s incentive offering, and are exclusively available to international buyers and media.
Dreamtime 2017 will aim to secure approximately 120 qualified international business events decision makers (buyers), international trade media from ten key markets. These buyers are decision makers with potential long-haul business for Australia. The markets are;
• Greater China (China and Hong Kong)
• New Zealand
• South Korea
• United Kingdom
• North America (USA and Canada)
Australian trade media also attend Dreamtime.
Results from Dreamtime 2015
Dreamtime 2015 hosted 95 international buyers and 21 domestic and international media. Eighty leads have been secured for Australia to date, with 100 per cent of buyers indicating they were either satisfied or very satisfied with Dreamtime 2015. Furthermore, 94 per cent of buyers indicated they were likely to send business to Australia as a result of attending Dreamtime 2015.
